With multiplicative reasoning underpinning much of the GCSE maths content, it’s vital students develop a deep, connected understanding by the end of KS3.

Year 7 teachers apply by 14:00 on Thursday, 18 September

​Launching in October, you'll work in a professional learning community with other Year 7 teachers to explore effective ways to teach multiplicative reasoning, share strategies and use carefully-designed classroom resources to improve their practise.​

Through this programme, teachers will:​

• explore key structures and strategies for teaching multiplicative reasoning across KS3​
• work with colleagues to plan and reflect on coherent, high-quality lessons​
• improve understanding of how to support all students to think and communicate mathematically​
• have access to high-quality classroom resources and guidance to secure the foundations for GCSE study.

• 28 January 2026
• 29 March 2026

​All workshops will be held from 09:00 to 16:00, in person, at GLOW Maths Hub HQ, Balcarras School, GL53 8QF.
