  • Qualified in 1986 as a primary teacher – specialised in maths and science 

  • Started teaching in Glpucesrshire then taught at schools across the country and abroad 

  • Returned to Gloucestershire with family in 20303 to settle.  

  • Have been maths subject lead in a number of schools. Worked on small school planning project with GLOS MATHS Team. Have always loved being part of a maths community and sharing the love! 

  • Moved in to ITE and became an academic at the University of Gloucestershire, working with undergraduate and Post Graduate students leading on Maths Education and Professional Studies 

  • Masters achieved in 2014 – main dissertation focus was around supporting and coaching NQTs to develop their subject knowledge in improving teaching maths. 

  • Have led SKTM work groups from inception in GLOW Maths – TAs, Primary Teachers and EXCTs and continue to do this 

  • Was actively engaged in research project over 3 years by Nunes and Bryant which was then published by the EEF. Presented with them at the BCME conference at Warwick in 2018 

  • Became Accredited Professional Lead for NCETM in 2020
