I studied Maths and Theology at University. After starting my career as a Piano Teacher I trained as a Primary School Teacher mainly working with years 3 to 6 – Maths lessons were always my favourite time of the day. Whilst my children were small I worked within Adult Education teaching both Maths and English. Fast forward 15 years and I now work at Hartpury College teaching Functional Skills Maths to students who gain grades U, 1 and 2 at GCSE. Students inevitably ‘hate’ Maths so I love working with them to support them in changing their mindset and improving their confidence – it can be very challenging but so rewarding too! I also write and review FS exams.
