Maxine joined the GLOW Maths Hub in September 2023. Having previously worked in several schools within the county as a clerk to governors, Maxine continues to clerk for two LA schools in Gloucestershire, as well as holding a Governance Professional role at The Balcarras Trust.

Originally, from a publishing background, Maxine made the transition to working in education whilst living in Asia, where she worked as a Kindergarten and Year 1 teacher. Upon moving back to the UK, she wished to continue working in education, using her business skills and qualifications.
